Peru’s Earthquake
An emergency support effort to help biologists and their families of the Ica Region of Peru that were affected by the earthquake of 15th August 2007
The 210 biologists of Ica have already suffered one death and many injured. Dozens of them and their families are enduring economic hardship and enormous material losses caused by the earthquake that devastated Peru’s southern region of Ica on August 15th.
The National College of Biologists of Peru [Colegio de Biologos del Perú, please visit www.cbperu.org], has set in motion an international effort to channel help specifically to aid the 210 biologists of Ica and their family members (over 1,000 people).
